Liver Damage

Heart know the extent of your own? Liver is widely used in daily phrases rarely get attention from the health point of rare cases of severe disease compared with heart problems, kidney or cancer.

In essence, many of us take for granted the health of the heart as it is among the fastest growing organ returning. The capabilities of a rare cause liver problems in adults, in addition to the treatment of liver disease may be shorter than any other illness.

Lately, more attention began to be given to this unfortunate organs due to increasing cases of viral infections that cause hepatitis or liver inflammation. However, in general, people still take for granted the importance of this organ in their daily lives.

Liver

Liver is the largest internal organ and gland in the human body that plays an important role in the detoxification and metabolism. Liver is one of the major organs in the abdomen and under the ribs.

Position of the liver usually under the right ribs, but there are also individuals whose heart is located on the left.

The organ is a lot of functions, not only in the metabolism of food but also as an antidote any toxins or poisons into the body. Break down drugs and toxins function is very important to keep a poison and destroy the body.

It also can convert some of the active ingredients can be used by the body and dispose of hazardous by-products produced by faeces or urine.

It also produces bile which is stored in the gall bladder to be used in fat digestion. In addition, the liver also serves as a storage plant for sugar, fat, protein and vitamins that will be issued according to the needs of the body.

Liver Damage

All these functions will be interrupted in the event of damage to the liver. Liver damage may cause sudden liver failure function (acute) and can cause coma patients due to accumulation of toxins in the body.

Although acute liver failure is rare, the number of deaths among patients who experienced a very high and can occur within a few weeks.

Patients may also experience severe bleeding due to liver failure result in blood clotting factors.

Symptoms of Liver Damage

Among the symptoms of liver problems are loss of appetite, vomiting, fever and body becomes itchy in many places. Patients may also show symptoms of yellow eyes and urine golden yellow like tea 'O' sauce.

Patients may also be noticed that the stools are less concentrated because the liver can not produce bile (which gives the stools). Patients may also experience symptoms of jaundice, nausea, pain in the liver and liver swelling.

The main cause inflammation of the liver in Malaysia is caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi or parasites. The virus is a major cause of hepatitis in this country, with the Hepatitis A virus (HAV) is spread through most of the food and drink found.

In addition to HAV, hepatitis type B virus (HBV) and C (HCV) is common in Malaysia than type D, E, F and G are rarely found in Malaysia. Hepatitis E virus (HEV) has characteristics similar to HAV, such as spread through water or food handling.

HEV, however, frequently found in India and Bangladesh, and can be brought into this country by immigrants from these countries.

Antidote Heart

The ability to regenerate the liver, and faster than other organs which enable it to replace damaged heart tissue. However, this does not mean that patients do not need to 'keep faith' because they think the heart can repair itself.

All hepatitis patients need to control diet, nutrient intake, and also avoid taking drugs, but necessary. Patients need to reduce fat things, plenty of carbohydrate intake, and keep taking medication, including paracetamol.

They also need to ensure adequate intake of protein and water to help the restoration of the liver and taking certain vitamin supplements such as vitamin K for bleeding problems.

HAV infection is the most widely occurring due to hepatitis virus infection, most patients will heal themselves and do not need hospitalization. HAV patients estimated to be fully recovered after about 45 days, and the virus will also be removed completely from the patient.

HBV and HCV infection, however, may need medical treatment such as interferon, drugs to reduce the replication of viruses and drugs to encourage the production of antibodies. Nearly 10% of patients with HBV and HCV up to 50% of patients may be suffering from cirrhosis and liver cancer. In terms of the effectiveness of drugs used, the more difficult to treat HCV infection because of the effectiveness of the treatment only 40% compared to 60% for HBV.

Liver Transplant

Special ability to facilitate the liver to regenerate the liver donation as only a small part of the organs needed for transplant to patients in need. Liver tissue can grow back a full liver even if only a 25% healthy liver tissue.

However, liver transplant is usually performed in cases of hepatitis not caused by viral or bacterial infection. Patients with liver damage due to infection risk of new heart also transferred infection.

If there is no virus or bacteria causes hepatitis in a patient, the doctor may consider doing a liver transplant. Liver transplantation for hepatitis caused by chemicals or toxins more easily done.

However, any toxins must be removed first, and patients with addiction (drugs or alcohol) should be restored before the liver transplant carried out.

This will avoid wastage of donated liver because it also be damaged if the toxins, drugs or alcohol continue to be patient. Among individuals who would greatly benefit the liver transplant is an autoimmune hepatitis patients.

Let us not ignore the health of any organ at all, including the liver, because it can heal itself and does not cause death immediately. Imagine the heart as the brain and spine that allows us to move the body and carry out daily activities.

Without faith, we are not just going to die, but will lose control of the body's principal chemical functions are not much different than slowly become paralyzed. Love yourself, love hearts.
